To be able to conduct video consultations securely through WriteUpp, you will need to purchase video minutes. If you are a multi-user practice, the video minutes you purchase will be available site wide, but can only be topped up by a site administrator. Each video minute individually costs just 1p and can be purchased in bundles of the following amounts:

300 minutes - £3 + VAT
600 minutes - £6 + VAT
1000 minutes - £10 + VAT
2000 minutes - £20 + VAT
5000 minutes - £50 + VAT

Minutes can be purchased by going to Main Menu -> Settings -> Account and choosing Buy More next to the Video Minutes counter.

You'll then be able to choose which bundle to purchase, and click on Buy Now to confirm.

If your subscription is via Direct Debit, you'll be asked to confirm in a pop up box and the purchase will then be applied to the same bank account details that your subscription is with.

If your subscription is via PayPal, you'll be taken to PayPal to complete the purchase before returning to WriteUpp.

If a clinician starts a video call without enough minutes to conclude it, based on the length of the appointment in the diary, a message will be displayed before the waiting room is opened. Site administrators will have an option to buy more minutes here:

Other user roles will simply see the funds exhausted message:

If you have enough credits to start the call, but not complete it, you'll still be able to open the waiting room and hold the consultation. If your video minutes balance is 0 or below, you won't be able to open the waiting room and therefore start the call. You'll need to buy more minutes before beginning another video consultation.

Fear not, if you run out of minutes during a video call, you won't be cut off!

Your call will continue and you'll run up a negative video minutes balance. You'll need to top up before starting the next call but beware that the top up will also be used to clear your negative balance. For example, if your video minute balance is -36 and you add a top up of 300 mins, your balance will then be 264.
