How do I make a VAT rate inactive?
You can't delete a VAT rate in WriteUpp, but you can deactivate it, so that it doesn't appear in VAT dropdowns anymore.
Go to Settings -> Invoice, then click the Edit link under the existing default VAT rates:
The 'Tax Rate' modal will open. Click on the VAT rate you would like to make inactive:
Click on the green tick box next to 'Active' so it appears greyed out:
Click Save:
You will then see the inactive rate moved to the bottom of the list, marked as "Inactive":
Inactive VAT rates will not appear in the VAT dropdown when creating an expense or when editing line items on an invoice.
Reactivating a rate will make it appear in these dropdowns again, without the need to recreate it.
