How do you discharge a patient?



To discharge a patient:


  1. Ensure the patient you wish to discharge is the Active Patient, then go to Create -> Discharge:



  1. Review the Discharge Summary. NOTE: Check that all completed appointments have been invoiced.


  1. If you've got the wrong patient as your Active Patient, you can use the 'Switch icon' to switch to the correct patient:



  1. Click on Discharge This Patient:



  1. The Active Patient button will change from orange to black, indicating that the patient has been discharged and there is no open episode for them:
