How to resubscribe to WriteUpp

If you have unsubscribed from WriteUpp and later changed your mind, or we have failed to receive payment meaning your site has been unsubscribed, then it is possible for you to resubscribe from the Account tab, as along as your site has not been deleted.


You must have the user role of Site Administrator to resubscribe your site.


Resubscribing couldn't be easier, here's how:


  1. To access the Account tab, go to Settings -> Account or select Account Details under the main menu. If your site has been unsubscribed, the Account status will be "Subscription - Cancelled":



  1. Check the expiry date below this. Once the expiry date is reached, you will no longer have full access to your site and the only screen you will see is the Account tab to resubscribe. 45 days after the expiry date, your account will be deleted and you will no longer have the option to resubscribe.


If your account has been deleted, there is nothing that can be done to retrieve your data and you will have to take out a new subscription. Please contact support before unsubscribing if you have any questions regarding this process.


  1. If you wish to resubscribe, simply click the Resubscribe button at the bottom of the Account tab:



  1. You will be taken to the ‘Restore Subscription’ screen. Choose which plan you would like to resubscribe to WriteUpp on (read more about the plan types offered here).


For Flex and Group plans, you need to specify the number of licences required (read more about licence requirements for the 3 plan types here). Then click ‘Subscribe now’ for your preferred plan.


  1. Complete the steps to set up payment


  1. If this is successful, your site will be resubscribed with all your data retained. Check the Account status, it should say "Subscription" and you should see payment details below:


If you previously paid for your subscription through GoCardless or PayPal, you’ll be moved over to Stripe Billing when you resubscribe. Everything about your WriteUpp subscription will stay exactly the same - your data, users, and setup won’t be affected. The only difference is the billing method, which will now be handled securely through Stripe. Moving to Stripe Billing also unlocks the new pricing plans (Flex, Solo, and Group), giving you more choice and flexibility in how your subscription is managed.


If your site is less than a year old and you are on the old pricing when you unsubscribe, and you wish to resubscribe, then we will honour the old pricing matrix. You will not go onto the new pricing until a year from the original subscription date.
