Introducing Square
As you know, we’ve provided the ability to take online payments for some time now but the holy grail for us was to integrate a card terminal with WriteUpp that would enable your clients to pay in person with their card or phone. That day has arrived!
We are delighted to be partnered with Square to give your clients the flexibility to prepay when they book online, pay in clinic or post treatment via paylink. As we become more reliant on cashless payments in the age of Apple Pay, Google Pay and "tap to pay", our contactless omni-channel payments provide what you need to maximise your cash flow and streamline your processes.
Square are one of the world's leading payment providers, dedicated to providing sellers of all sizes the tools they need to start, run and grow their business. Founded in 2009 to revolutionise the world of payments, it’s listed on the New York Stock Exchange with revenues of more than $10 billion and a market capitalisation in excess of $100 billion.
In preparing for this feature, we spoke with several of the biggest payment providers out there, of which there are a few! Our hope for this newest integration was to be able to provide a fully integrated in person card payment, with minimal manual intervention for you. And by that we mean the ability for WriteUpp to send the payment to the device for you, receive confirmation back, record the payment and mark the invoice as paid.
The continuous innovation and development from the team the Square means that they are able to offer a device and a way of integration which provides exactly what we were looking for! None of the other current market leaders were able of offer us the product and the tools that we would need in order to introduce an integrated in person payment.
So what can you do with it?
For our users based in the UK, the Square integration provides you with a number of seamless, contactless payment pathways to use with your clients. You can:
Take prepayments when an online booking appointment is made
Take in person card payments for appointments or invoices
Accept online invoice payments
You'll have the flexibility to use any or all of those pathways, depending on what suits your business.
If you'd like to start off by accepting online invoice payments, before adding a Square terminal to allow you to take in person payments, you'll be able to do that.
Once you've connected your Square account, simply configure what you need to suit the way you work. The team here at WriteUpp are at hand every step of the way to help you and your business make the most of the integration between Square and WriteUpp.
