Live chat within WriteUpp
The Live chat icon is displayed in the bottom right of you WriteUpp site to provide you with a quick and easy way to access customer support any time of the day.
We do however recognise that the chat icon can sometimes get in your way, and you don't always need or want to see it! Therefore, you'll find a switch under Settings -> My Settings which allows you to control the default chat setting across all the pages of your WriteUpp site:
To hide the live chat icon, toggle the switch to the right (so it appears blue) then press save, and the icon will disappear from your screen.
If you decide to hide chat, but you then need to get in touch with a question, we've added a shortcut to chat within the main menu under Help & Support. Just click on Show Chat and the icon will temporarily re-appear on that particular page. On the other hand, if you have chat visible on your screen, but you want to hide it while you do something, open the main menu and you'll be able to Hide Chat, again temporarily.
Please note that the option in the main menu only acts as a temporary override; this setting will revert back to the default setting once you navigate to a different page in WriteUpp. Therefore, if you want to hide chat as standard, make sure you go to Settings -> My Settings and toggle it off in there
