Skipped PayPal Payment

You have been directed to this article because we are having a problem processing your subscription payment for WriteUpp through PayPal.

We use PayPal to process credit card payments for WriteUpp subscriptions because they are a world leader in online payment handling and we feel it provides the best protection, both for you as a buyer and us as a supplier.

When you subscribe for WriteUpp we set up a payment profile for you with PayPal.

This payment profile consists of:

  • an amount
  • a payment day (on which recurring payments will be taken)
  • a Profile ID

Occasionally, PayPal is unable to process payments when a profile is set up, resulting in a "Skipped Payment" notification, which we receive directly from PayPal. This means that PayPal has tried to process your monthly payment for WriteUpp but for whatever reason was unable to complete the transaction.

The most common reasons for failure are:

  • Change of card details
  • Expired card details
  • Barred card
  • Mis-match between new/existing card and new/existing address
  • Mis-match between profile phone number and your business phone number
  • Insufficient funds to make the payment
  • Incomplete set up of PayPal account

To give you time to resolve the issue we have set up PayPal to try again in 5 days. During this time your access to WriteUpp will not be interrupted. However, if you don't resolve the issue your access to WriteUpp may be restricted until payment has been received.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact our help desk at support@writeupp.com or via live chat.
