Taking in person payments using the Square Terminal
Using a paired Square terminal, you'll be able to take integrated card payments from a number of places within WriteUpp. You'll be able to take:
a quick payment directly from the appointment screen
full payment for an invoice
a part payment of an invoice
Clients will be able to use contactless cards, chip and pin and both Apple Pay and Google Pay via the Terminal. Payments taken via the Square Terminal will incur a transaction fee of 1.75% per transaction.
In person card payments can be initiated wherever you see this Square icon:
The beauty of the terminal is that it doesn’t need to be plugged in directly to either a power source or a cabled internet connection. If you’re working on the go, simply make sure your terminal is charged up, and connect it to either WiFi or your mobile phone hotspot and you can take payment wherever you are!

Square is only available to WriteUpp users based in the UK. For those of you who are not UK based, you will be able to set up Stripe, which allows online payments only
