Diary Resource Groups
Diary resource groups give you the ability to create and view different groups of user's diaries, that are saved for ease of access. Particularly if you have a lot of users and a busy diary, this allows easier ad hoc changes to your diary view without having to manually select and deselect individual resources.
Resource groups are available at the top of the diary sidebar if you have 2 or more users on your WriteUpp account:
They are linked to an individual's diary view, so are created and managed by each user independently. This allows each user to define what (if any!) groups they'd like to have available to them.
To create a resource group:
Open the diary sidebar by hovering over the grey bar on the left of your screen (or tapping it if you're on a tablet or mobile device)
Click on the icon alongside the Resources heading:
In the box that appears, give your group a name, and use the boxes to select which resources you'd like to include in it:
When using this create icon, any resources you have selected on your current diary view will be pre-ticked here for you, making it really easy to save your current diary selection as a group!
Once you've added a name and your resources, hit Save
You'll then be taken to the list of all your resource groups, where you should see the newly created one:
As seen in the above image, you'll also be able to add a new resource group when viewing your list of resource groups
To view one of your resource groups in your diary view:
Open the diary sidebar
Under the Resource Groups heading, click on the group you'd like to view
That's it! Your diary view should populate with the resources included in that group, and you should see them individually selected in the sidebar:
You'll be able to view one resource group in the diary at a time. Selecting a new group from the sidebar will replace the previous resource view in the diary with that group, it won't add to it
To edit an existing resource group:
Open the diary sidebar and click on the icon next to Resource Groups:
Click on the name of group you'd like to edit:
From here, you can rename the group and edit which resources are included in it:
Once you've made the changes, click on Save Updates
The changes to that group will be saved and you'll be taken back to the list of your groups
To delete an existing resource group:
Open the diary sidebar and click on the icon next to Resource Groups:
Click on the name of group you'd like to delete:
Click Delete This Group:
Then confirm Yes when prompted:
You should be taken back to the list of your resource groups and no longer see the group you've just deleted on screen
