Can I check to see if a Direct Message has been read?

You can check if a direct message has been read by going into the Messages tab of the Patient Summary and opening the message that was sent.

Click on the date the message was sent to open it

The message sent, including any documents sent, will open

There will be a status indicator next to Message Summary to indicate whether the message is "Read",  "Not Read" or "Expired":



Click View Header at the bottom of the screen to see more information on the sent message, including when it was opened:
