How to Delete Files from File Storage
If you no longer use a file uploaded to File Storage, you can easily delete it. There are two ways of doing this.
Head to Settings & Tools -> File Storage
You will see the File Storage area. There are two ways to delete a file from here
The first is to simply click the Trashcan icon at the end of the row of the file you would like to delete:
Press Yes in the modal if you are sure you want to remove the file. The file will then be deleted from File Storage.
The second way you can delete a file is from the file viewer screen.
When you click on the Name of a file in File Storage, you will be taken to the viewer. At the bottom of this page, you will see the Trashcan icon:
Press the Trashcan icon to delete the file. Click Yes in the warning modal to confirm the action
You will then be directed back to the File Storage area where you will see that the file has been removed.
If you click on the Download icon at the end of the row of the file you would like to delete, you will also see the Delete icon on this screen too.
Warning: If you delete a file from File Storage, it will also be deleted from any email templates it might be attached to.
Did you know? You can see files that other users on your site have uploaded to File Storage by unticking the ‘Show my files only’ checkbox at the top of the page.
NOTE: Site Administrators can delete all files in File Storage, including those uploaded by other users. However, users with the Privileged, Regular or Restricted roles can only delete files that they have uploaded. They will NOT see the Trashcan icon for files they did not upload, as they cannot delete other users' files from File Storage.
