Once you've connected WriteUpp and Square, and confirmed the location to be used for online payments, to take prepayments via online booking, you'll need to switch this on within the online booking admin area.

To do this:

Login to the online booking admin area by going to Main Menu -> Integrations & Add Ons -> Online booking -> Configure

Click on Settings from the top menu bar:



Scroll down the page to the Payment option and slide the switch to the right so that it appears green:



Click on Save & Publish to save the change

We'd recommend that if you take pre-payments for your appointments that you display pricing information throughout the site so that clients know exactly what they are going to be charged before they enter their payment details. You can see more information about adjusting price visibility throughout online booking here.

You might also like to add information to the welcome heading and welcome text on the online booking homepage to ensure clients know they'll need to have a credit or debit card handy while making their appointment. More information on modifying this text can be found here.

Square is only available to WriteUpp users based in the UK. For those of you who are not UK based, you will be able to set up Stripe, which allows online payments only
