Can I resend an appointment communication to a patient?
Yes, you have the option to resend some messages sent from WriteUpp at just the click of a button.
If a patient contacts you to advise that they have not received an appointment communication, but you can see the message listed on the Messages tab of the Patient Summary, then you can quickly and easily resend it to them from here.
To do this...
Find the patient in question within WriteUpp and navigate to the Messages tab of the Patient Summary.
Locate the message you would like to resend and click on the date to open it. For any appointment communications, the type should be "Appointment text/email".
You will see a Resend button at the bottom of the screen:
Click on Resend, and then OK to confirm that you would like to resend the message.
After clicking OK, you will be taken back to the Messages tab of the Patient Summary, where you'll see an additional entry for the resent message.
Note: This functionality will resend the original message exactly as it was; it's not possible to make any changes to the contents of the message or the recipient from here. Therefore, if the message failed to send because the recipient's contact details were incorrect, then you should update this information on the Client Summary, but do not use the above resend functionality, as it will go to the incorrect number/email address again. Instead, copy the content of the failed message and go to Create -> Message, choose either email or SMS, paste the content of the message into the content field, make any edits and send it this way. You can read more about manually sending messages here.
