How do I send a patient a confirmation of an appointment but not a reminder?

If a patient wishes to receive confirmation of an appointment, but no other communications relating to the appointment after that, then this is possible to do when booking the appointment.

To send a confirmation of an appointment but prevent a reminder from being sent:

Click on a free space in the diary to book the appointment. Doing so will bring up the appointment modal.

Select Edit Details in the 'Communications' section:



Toggle the 'Only send confirmations' switch to the right and click Update:



Finish filling out the details of the appointment and click Save

NOTE: This will also prevent any other communications you have set up from being sent out relating to the appointment. It will not just mute reminders, it will mute all other communications, including communications regarding a change to the appointment or a cancellation.
