Connecting Stripe to WriteUpp
Our partnership with Stripe allows us to leverage Stripe's processing abilities to power up your payment management within WriteUpp and provide your clients with a secure, streamlined payment experience. You can find out more about Stripe here. By connecting Stripe to WriteUpp, you can take card payments in person, online and pre-treatment to save time and improve your cash flow. Connections made before 12th November 2024: If you connected your Stripe account before 12/11/24, you'll be using a Standard Stripe connection. Connecting a Stripe reader to WriteUpp
Connecting your stripe reader to WriteUpp to take in-person payments couldn’t be easier. Before we begin, it is important to note that the integration only works with two types of reader: BBPOS WisePOS E reader Stripe Reader S700 Unfortunately, any other Stripe reader types are not compatible with the integration. Once you are connected to Stripe Unified and have registered a reader to your WriteUpp account, you can start taking in-person card payments. Please refer to the Connecting a Stripe reader to WriteUpp article for guidance on pairing a reader. One of the places you can initiate a payment from, is the appointment modal in the diary. How do I receive the funds if I take payment via Stripe?
When your clients pay via Stripe, the money will be transferred into your Stripe account. To transfer the money from here to your bank account you need to specify when Stripe makes "payouts". Automatic Payouts Within Stripe the default setting is pre-generated payout schedule which is based upon your geographical location and industry, for most of you, this will be a 7-day rolling schedule. Stripe minimum and maximum payment values
When payments are taken via Stripe, there is a minimum payment amount enforced to take into account the Stripe processing fees, which combine a small fixed amount and a percentage. These amounts are set by Stripe, not WriteUpp, and cannot be changed. The minimum amount you can charge depends on your bank account settlement currency (the currency your bank account uses).
